Electric heater tape for frost protection, heat loss compensation or process heating of pipelines and tanks, heat exchangers, tanks, devices, valves, control equipment and other equipment, offered by Online Energy.
Operation of heaters is allowed in fire-hazardous installations (outdoors and premises) of classes II-I, II-II, II-III in accordance with the "Electrical Installation Rules" (PUE).
Key features of ENGL-2
"ENGL-2" – this is an industrial quality flexible heating tape that can be used for process heating or maintaining preset temperatures up to 60 0C.
"ENGL-2" is a braided tape made of glass fiber, based on eight heating wires made of nichrome. Outside, the heaters are covered with a waterproof sheath made of a polyethylene composition. End crimps are made of the same material.
The principle of operation of "ENGL-2" heaters is based on the release of heat by heating conductors when an electric current passes through them.
Tape "ENGL-2" is a finished product, it is produced only in the specified sizes and capacities and cannot be cut to size.
By agreement with the consumer, it is possible to manufacture heaters with other parameters and lengths, but with a specific power not exceeding 40 W/m.
"ENGL-2" are installed quickly and easily, no special skills or tools are required.
Engl-2 specifications
- Specific power of heaters (power per meter of active part): 15, 20, 30, 40 W/m.
- According to the method of connection to the power source, the heaters are made in two versions: cold leads on one side or cold leads on opposite sides.
- Maximum temperature: 60 0C.
- Minimum bending radius: 20 mm.
- Section size of the active part: width 23±0.25 mm, thickness 3.5±0.15 mm.
- Power supply: ~220.
- Length of low-temperature copper wires: 1000 mm (optional - any).
Note. The surface temperature of the heater must not exceed the maximum temperature that its structural materials can withstand. This is ensured by limiting the temperature of the pipe or workpiece to a safe level, by design analysis (stabilized design) or by temperature control.

Note.
- Engl-2 heaters with a specific power of more than 20 W/m must be operated with thermostats.
